Man Charged with Murder for November Shooting
According to police, Harrison shot Juan Hernandez, 30, of Oakland with a .45-caliber handgun in the 7500 block of Arthur Street.

A man was arrested last week and charged with a November murder in Oakland, according to court documents. Veelewrance Harrison, 36, was charged with murder on Monday and arraigned on the charges this morning, according to the Alameda County District Attorney’s Office.
According to police, Harrison shot Juan Hernandez, 30, of Oakland with a .45-caliber handgun in the 7500 block of Arthur Street at 12:18 a.m. on Nov. 16. Hernandez was pronounced dead about 10 minutes later. Police released no details about the motive for the shooting or what evidence connected Harrison to the shooting.
Harrison is being held in Santa Rita Jail without bail, according to jail records. He is scheduled to return to court on Feb. 8 to enter a plea, prosecutors said.
