Mayor Has a Bit of Nastiness on His Doorstep
Barbieri chides vandal for repeatedly dropping dog waste in front of his house.

Politics in Piedmont is often conducted with civility, but occasionally with a stinking pile of incivility.
Mayor Dean Barbieri took a moment before the Piedmont City Council’s Monday meeting to address the individual who has dropped “dog poop” in front of his house multiple times.
“It doesn’t bother me,” the mayor said. “Just grow up. I don’t even know what point you’re trying to make … Either show up at a public forum to make your point or send me an email.”

Barbieri went on to say he knew who it was — “I saw you do it” — but did not identify the person.
“Be an adult,” Barbieri said. “Be a grownup. Quit the childish behavior.”
