Nearly Naked Oakland Man Suspected of Stealing Truck Arrested After Wild Car Chase Ends in Tri-Valley

Police said the pursuit started after undercover officers noticed a UC Berkeley truck driving erratically on Pleasanton streets.

LIVERMORE, CA — A nearly naked man was arrested after he led police on a wild chase through Livermore Monday afternoon, police officials said. According to police, officers driving an unmarked police car spotted a UC Berkeley truck driving erratically in Pleasanton.

Police said when officers activated their emergency lights in an attempt to stop the truck, the driver sped off throwing a fire extinguish out of the window at the police car. A short time later, the driver allegedly slammed on his breaks causing the police car to rear end the truck.

Neither vehicle was disabled from the crash and the pursuit continued through Livermore, eventually ending at the Livermore National Laboratory. Throughout the pursuit, the driver appeared to be disrobing and was nearly naked when he was arrested.
