No One Injured in Residential Fire

Firefighters extinguished the fire in about five minutes after arriving.

OAKLAND, CA- No one was injured Sunday afternoon during a one-alarm fire at a single-family home in Oakland, a fire battalion chief said. Firefighters received the first call reporting the fire at 4:24 p.m. in the 9800 block of Springfield Street, a fire dispatcher said.

Firefighters extinguished the fire in about five minutes after arriving and limited the damage to one room and it’s contents, Battalion Chief Coy Justice said.
