At 11:55 p.m. on March 24, Hayward police officers responded to an apartment complex in the 500 block of Berry Avenue on a report of a home invasion robbery in progress. Officers responded to the scene after a resident reported hearing what sounded like his neighbor being robbed.

Officers located a vehicle occupied by five people speeding away from the scene. The vehicle's driver led officers on a short pursuit before losing control and crashing at the intersection of Martin Luther King Jr. Drive and Myrtle Street, police said.

Three male suspects fled from the vehicle and the two female suspects remained inside the vehicle.

Two of the three men, identified as Walker and Gonzalez, were immediately captured. The third man fled on foot and remains at large.

Police said two firearms were located inside the suspect vehicle, and another firearm was located in the bushes outside the vehicle.
