Oakland Man Identified As Murder Victim
He is the city's 14th homicide victim of the year.
OAKLAND, CA - A man shot and killed in North Oakland on Sunday afternoon was identified today as a 21-year-old Oakland resident.
Jaccare Vanpelt was found suffering gunshot wounds in the 6000 block of Idaho Street at about 1:50 p.m., according to police. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
Police have released no information about a possible motive or suspects in the shooting.
