Oakland Shooting Leaves Victim Critically Injured

The shooting took place t the Acorn housing projects.

OAKLAND, CA - A male victim was critically injured in a shooting in West Oakland early this morning, according to police.

The shooting was reported at 1:33 a.m. in the 800 block of Adeline Street in the Acorn housing projects, police said. The victim was taken to a hospital in critical condition.

Gunfire had already been reported nearby in the 1000 block of Eighth Street at about 9 p.m. Monday, according to police. Several people there were shot at but no one was hit by the gunfire.
