Piedmont High School Temporarily Evacuated – Update

September 30, 2021

At approximately 7:30am, a contractor working at the Performing Arts Center on the Piedmont High School campus struck a gas line causing a leak. As a precaution, students arriving on campus were evacuated to outdoor portions of campus while PG&E and Piedmont Fire inspected the scene. The gas has been shut off and PHS students are returning to class. No other PUSD schools were affected.
