Police, Firefighters Practicing Wildfire Response in Berkeley
If you see smoke in Berkeley this week, here's why.

Berkeley police and firefighters are practicing wildfire response in the north Berkeley hills today. The training exercises will take place today, Wednesday and Friday, according to police. Residents in the area should expect to see firefighters and police in the area and officers will be knocking on doors to distribute resources on preparing for wildfires.
In addition to alerting residents to the dangers of fires, police and firefighters will be practicing firefighting tactics and determining evacuation routes, police said.
