Police arrested a person Wednesday in Oakland suspected of carrying an illegal assault rifle in a vehicle, police said. Oakland Police said officers conducted a traffic stop for a vehicle code violation at 6:23 p.m.
During the stop, officers found the rifle and multiple rounds of ammunition, according to police. Police said the driver was arrested.
