Prescott Circus Theatre's 2015 Spring Showcase

The Prescott Circus Theatre, now in its 31st year, will again present their annual Student Showcase on Saturday, March 28th, 2015 at Oakland Technical High School (4351 Broadway). Over 100 talented Oakland youth will demonstrate their skills in two shows at 11:00am and 1:30pm. The 3rd-5th grade students will perform juggling, stilting, acrobatics, unicycle, hambone body percussion, hip-hop dance, and balancing acts. Performances will feature the Prescott Circus Performance Company from Prescott Elementary School in West Oakland and students from PCT’s after school programs at Lafayette, Laurel, Manzanita SEED/Community, Parker, Korematsu, and Piedmont Avenue Elementary Schools. Following the success of last year’s partnership, Prescott Circus students will again collaborate with the Oakland Spirit Orchestra (OSO). OSO is a youth orchestra featuring elementary and middle school students from 5 West Oakland public schools. Shows are free to the public, and all ages are welcome to attend.
