Deadline Approaches To Pay Property Taxes

Here's the link to look up your tax bill and to pay online.

ALAMEDA COUNTY, CA — If you don't pay your property taxes through a mortgage, the deadline to to pay 2017-2018 unsecured property tax is Thursday, August 31, 2017.

If you don't pay your bill by this deadline, the tax will accrue a delinquent penalty of 10 percent and a delinquent cost of $50.00. This amount will be valid until October 31, 2017 when it will begin accruing interest at the rate of 1.5 percent on the first of each month beginning November 1, 2017.

You may pay your taxes online at one of the links below. For payments made online, a convenience fee of 2.5 percent will be charged for a credit card transaction or a flat fee of $3.00 for an electronic check from your checking or savings account.

The system undergoes regular maintenance and nightly processing. This generally occurs Sunday morning from 7 to 9 a.m. and weeknights from 1 to 2 a.m. You will be unable to access the records or pay your bill during those hours.
