San Francisco Boys Chorus East Meets West Concert

San Francisco Boys Chorus (SFBC) presents an eclectic program featuring Chinese and World music with traditional Chinese instruments, at The Cathedral of Christ the Light on May 17. This is a joint concert with the San Francisco Boys Chorus and the Great Wall Youth Orchestra of Laney College, which issupported by the Purple Silk Music Education Foundation (PSMEF),Oakland’s non-profit music education program for inner-city youth.

About the East meets West performance, SFBC’s Artistic Director Ian Robertson says “It’s going to be a very exciting and colorful collaboration gathering our two groups to perform traditional Western music alongside the sounds of the Chinese ensembles. I couldn’t be happier that we are putting on this special concert in the glorious space of the Cathedral of Christ the Light and yes, the two groups will perform together in a special finale.”
