Six-Time Felon Arrested In Oakland
The suspect jumped from a window and had blood "all over his hands and clothing," according to police.

OAKLAND, CA — A six-time felon who's been convicted in four different counties dating back to 1996 has been charged with murder for allegedly fatally stabbing another man after an argument in East Oakland on Sunday, police and prosecutors said.
Rahshan Mackey, 41, was arraigned on Monday afternoon in connection with the death of 57-year-old Leland Hodge of Oakland at a residence in the 10900 block of Bancroft Avenue shortly after 5 p.m. on Sunday.
Mackey, is scheduled to enter a plea at a hearing on April 19, according to court records.

A witness told police that on Sunday he saw Mackey walk over to Hodge's bed at the residence where both men lived and "suddenly become violent," Oakland police Officer Alejandro Padilla wrote in a probable cause
statement.
Mackey attacked Hodge by punching and stabbing him in the face, overpowered Hodge and threw him to the ground and continued attacking him, the witness told police, according to Padilla.

Hodge was pronounced dead at the scene, according to police.
Mackey jumped out of a window at the residence in an attempt to flee but he was arrested by officers who were arriving at the scene, Padilla said.
Mackey had blood "all over his hands and clothing," Padilla wrote.
Prosecutors said Mackey has been convicted of four felonies in Alameda County and one felony each in San Francisco, San Mateo and Sacramento counties.
Mackey has been convicted of two counts of second-degree robbery and one count each of assault with a firearm, possession of cocaine for sale, vehicle theft and possession of a controlled substance with a prior.
Mackey is being held without bail at the Santa Rita Jail in Dublin.
