Stockton Man Killed In Oakland Shooting

The shooting happened late Thursday night.

OAKLAND, CA — A Stockton man died after a shooting in Oakland's Fruitvale neighborhood late Thursday night, according to police.

The shooting was reported at 10:26 p.m. in the 900 block of 40th Avenue and officers arrived to find the victim suffering from a gunshot wound.

He was taken to a hospital where he succumbed to his injuries, police said. His name is not yet being released.
