The Picture(s) of Piedmont Softball Excellence

We capture the color and motion of a Piedmont win against St. Mary's, 12-2.

The Piedmont Highlanders won again March 25 against St. Mary's following a win against Berean Christian two days before. The Highlanders won on a "mercy" rule in the fifth inning.

The Highlanders were strong both in the field and on the mound. Sophomore Georgia Hill pitched a great game, allowing St. Mary's a solitary hit.

The hitting was also impressive. At the plate, Hill hit a home run over the center field wall in the third inning. Alison Gutske scored four of the 12 runs with two RBIs and two runs. In the fourth inning, Marielle Cohen, Hill, and Claire Gotch hit consecutive doubles. Mia Organs and Marie Bantz each went 2 for 3 with two singles each.
