Traffic Advisory: Women's March In Oakland Saturday

Thousands of people are expected to attend the rally and march. Here's the impacted area.

OAKLAND, CA — Thousands of people are expected to attend a rally and march in Oakland Saturday, the second anniversary Women's March, begun last year to protest the election of President Donald Trump.

Last year, an estimated 100,000 people marched.

Participants will gather at the Lake Merritt Amphitheater on Lake Merritt Boulevard at 10 a.m. At 11:30 a.m., the group will march to Frank Ogawa Plaza in downtown Oakland.

Streets will be blocked for the march and a large police presence will be evident.
