Tulips, Cherry Tree Burst With Color: Photos of the Day

PIEDMONT, CA — This spring has brought an embarrassment of flowers....from hillsides to backyards; bulbs, bushes and trees are all covered with the most outlandish display in years.

Ann Rapson of Piedmont wrote, "Our cherry trees are all in bloom in Piedmont Park! Come out and see this magnificent profusion of flowers!" Followed a short time later with, "Come for the Cherry Trees, but stay for the tulips!"
