Two Dead, Dozens Displaced in Oakland Fire
The raging fire spread from an apartment building to a second structure.

A fire this morning in Oakland killed two people and displaced more than 30, firefighters said.
The three-alarm fire broke out at an apartment building at 671 24th St. The fire spread to a second building as crews worked to battle the blaze.
Crews working the fire discovered the victims inside one of the buildings, firefighters said.

The fire was first reported around 3:40 a.m. and was reported under control at 4:11 a.m. firefighters said.
The American Red Cross has opened an evacuation center at 3901 Broadway to help people affected by the fire.
