58 Arrested Across San Francisco During Operation Targeting Fugitives: Police

SAN FRANCISCO, CA — A one-day operation targeting fugitives across San Francisco ended in 58 arrests and more than 100 grams of drugs seized, police said.

Police say 54 of the 58 people arrested on Wednesday had arrest warrants.

"The one-day operation throughout the city was a part of DMACC’s ongoing efforts to disrupt narcotic sales and drug markets in the city," the San Francisco Police Department said in a statement on Thursday.

During the arrests, officers seized 122.57 grams, or just over a quarter of a pound of drugs, according to the San Francisco Police Department.

No suspect names were released.

"We will continue to prioritize efforts to address the drug crisis in our city by taking wanted suspects off our streets and holding individuals who sell illegal narcotics accountable," police said.
