Woman Charged with East Oakland Murder
Lakisha Young, 29, of Oakland, was arraigned on Tuesday for the death of Jeron M. Smith.
A woman has been charged with murder for the fatal shooting of a 27-year-old man in East Oakland early on Saturday morning, police said. Lakisha Young, 29, of Oakland, was arraigned on Tuesday for the death of Jeron M. Smith and is scheduled to return to Alameda County Superior Court on Oct. 14 to be assigned an attorney and possibly enter a plea.
Young is accused of fatally shooting Smith shortly after 1 a.m. on Saturday in the 3300 block of 72nd Avenue, near MacArthur and Foothill.
