Woman Killed in Oakland Crash Sunday Evening

OAKLAND, CA - A woman was killed in a single-vehicle crash in Oakland Sunday evening, according to Oakland police.

Police and fire personnel responded just after 7 p.m. to a report of a car crash in the 800 block of East 8th Street, Oakland police Officer J. Moore said. Fire personnel extracted the woman from the vehicle and rendered medical aid, but she was pronounced dead at the scene at 7:51 p.m., Moore said.

Moore said the car struck several vehicles and other fixed objects before coming to a rest. The woman was driving a white Ford Taurus, he said.
