50th Anniversary Celebration for Chamber of Commerce

Honorees include former mayors, student and restaurateur.

With a Hollywood-style theme, the Pinole Chamber of Commerce hosted a dinner and awards ceremony Thursday, honoring two former mayors, a student, the business of the year and a special award to a restaurant owner.

A red carpet greeted attendees, whose stopped for photos a the entrance of the Pinole Senior Center's dining room. Tom Cutino and Jack Meehan, both of whom are former Pinole mayors and former presidents of the chamber, received recognitions. Topaz Bess reeived honors as the Pinole Valley High School Student of the Year, while Kaiser Permanente was named the Business of the Year.

The organziation also named Ren Partridge as Senior Citizen of the Year and gave a special recognition award to Gary Wong, owner of the Pear Street Bistro.
