61-Year-Old Suspected Drug Dealer Leads Police Chase
Hercules Police thought they were making a routine traffic stop. A chase ensued down 2 different highways.

HERCULES, CA — A 61-year-old man from Richmond was arrested after a traffic stop led to a felony pursuit on two different highways Tuesday morning, according to the Hercules Police Department.
Officers tried to stop a Chevrolet Lumina for a traffic violation just before 11 a.m. at Willow Avenue near Canterbury, but the driver fled.
The suspect led officers onto state Highway 4 and Interstate Highway 80 before he finally yielded on westbound Highway 80 near Pinole Valley Road.

When searching the vehicle officers found marijuana and another suspected drug packaged separately and in small quantities.

The driver was arrested on suspicion of felony evasion and possession for sale. His name was not immediately released.
