7 Displaced After Fire Damages Pinole Home
The cause of the fire is currently under investigation.

A Pinole residence sustained damage in a fire Monday evening, fire officials said. At 7:16 p.m., firefighters responded to a fire happening at 2148 Blue Jay Circle, according to the Pinole Fire Department. When firefighters arrived, they found heavy smoke coming from the side yard of a two-story home, fire officials said.
Because of wind, the fire grew quickly and consumed a fence and large storage shed on the home’s neighboring property, according to fire officials. Firefighters were eventually able to extinguish the fire. Although one home sustained moderate damage, two other homes were saved from the fire, fire officials said. Burning embers also ignited a small vegetation fire on a nearby hillside, but firefighters were able to quickly extinguish that fire.
Seven people were displaced because of the fire, which caused an estimated $125,000 in damage, fire officials said. No one was injured as a result of the fire. The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
