All Contra Costa Community College Campuses Closed Thursday

CONTRA COSTA COUNTY, CA — All campuses of the Contra Costa Community College District will be closed on Thursday because of poor air quality.

The college district has a pop-up on its website reading, "Contra Costa College, Diablo Valley College, Los Medanos College, and centers at Brentwood and San Ramon, will be closed tomorrow, Thursday, October 12, due to poor air quality as a result of the fires in Solano and Sonoma counties."

Administrators will make a decision on Thursday about closing campuses on Friday.

The Bay Area Air Quality Management District expects air quality to worsen on Friday and Saturday.

Several K-12 school districts in Contra Costa County have also closed on Thursday.
