Teen Boy Abducted From Calaveras County Found Safe

The 14-year-old was reportedly snatched on Monday and was later found safe in Stockton, officials said.

A 14-year-old boy who was abducted in Calaveras County, prompting the California Highway Patrol to issue an Amber Alert, was in Stockton this evening, according to the Calaveras County Sheriff’s Office.

Sergio Vazquez was abducted at about 10 a.m. Monday from the city of San Andreas by two unknown male suspects last seen driving a white van with an unknown license plate, CHP officials said. He was found safe in Stockton around 6:20 p.m., according to the sheriff’s office.

An Amber Alert has been issued out of Calaveras County for a 14-year-old boy who was abducted by two unknown male suspects this morning, according to the California Highway Patrol.

THIS AMBER ALERT IS ACTIVE IN THE FOLLOWING COUNTIES: CALAVERAS, TUOLUMNE, AMADOR, STANISLAUS, SAN JOAQUIN, SACRAMENTO, ALAMEDA, CONTRA COSTA, YOLO, SOLANO, EL DORADO, MERCED.

Sergio Vazquez was abducted at about 10 a.m. from the city of San Andreas by suspects last seen driving a white van with an unknown license plate, CHP officials said.

Sergio is described as a Hispanic boy who is about 5 feet 10 inches tall, weighs about 170 pounds, has brown hair and brown eyes and was last seen wearing a dark jacket, black T-shirt, dark blue pants, black snow boots and had a green backpack, according to the CHP.

Anyone who sees Sergio is asked to call 911 or the Calaveras County Sheriff’s Department at (209) 754-6030.
