Hercules Running Rebels Track and Field Club

The Hecules Running Rebels youth track club is soliciting new members and is also looking for volunteer coaches who might be willing to donate some time to coaching young track and field athletes.  Former athletes and retired coaches are also encouraged to give us a call.

The nationally acclaimed program, established in 2008, is accepting applications for new members, boys and girls alike, ages 6 to 15 to participate; and will be accepting applications for high school students at the end of your high school track season.  Our program is designed to meet the needs of all participants regardless of their starting performance level.  Currently 56 children participate in the program which competes regionally and on the national level.

The $250 fee covers regular season track meets registration, USATF and AUU dues, use of practice facilities, administrative fees, training equipment/supplies, and club insurance.

We have an excellent training program that includes strength training, speed, endurance, and agility for all athletes.  Hercules Running Rebels value education and believe that school success supersedes athletics.  We work with athletes as needed to maintain a minimum GPA of 2.5.  The Rebel Organization offer nutritional advice to our athletes and encourage each athlete to drink and eat healthy.

The Running Rebels host seven fundraisers throughout the year, including a popular crab feed. Each year, more than 1,200 youth track and field athletes participate in a two-day event at Contra Costa College.

The youth track club’s motto is, “Divided we stand invisible, United we stand invincible.”  Our mission is to develop well-rounded young men and women who are not only prepared to compete on the track but also in life, and to inspire all of our athletes to reach their full potential.
