Protecting Your Home From Fire Danger

After the fire on the hill last night, and the current status of our fire suppression capabilities, anyone that backs up to an open space should evaluate the space near their homes for fire safety.

Just because the kids are back in school, and it "feels" like summer is over, the fire danger still remains. Don't forget that the Oakland Hills fire, 20 years ago this year, occurred in October.

Through the National Fire Protection Association, residents can obtain information and even take online courses to aid in protecting their and their neighborhood properties. Courses are available via:
