Car 'Wrapped Around A Tree' By Alleged DUI Driver
Police were not able to administer a field sobriety test because of possible injuries to the driver.

HERCULES, CA — A man suspected of driving under the influence was arrested after he crashed his vehicle into a tree early Wednesday morning in Hercules, according to police.
Just before 1:30 a.m., officers were dispatched to the vicinity of Refugio Valley Road and Country Run on report of a solo crash. When officers arrived they found a Toyota Corolla "wrapped around a tree."
The driver, identified only as a 30-year-old man, was found nearby and allegedly showed signs of being under the influence of alcohol. Police were unable to administer a field sobriety test, however, due to possible injuries suffered in the crash.

The man was arrested and transported to a hospital where he was later cited and released.
