CHP Chopper Helps Hercules Police Nab Suspects

The suspects, both from Richmond, were taken into custody.

HERCULES, CA — A California Highway Patrol helicopter helped Hercules police catch two Richmond men who were illegally riding their dirt bikes Thursday afternoon.

Police responded around 4 p.m. to a report of two dirt bikers in the 300 block of Grissom Street trying to illegally access a hill.

The bikers left but an officer located them on Lupine and Violet roads. The riders failed to yield to a traffic stop and drove the wrong way on Refugio Valley Road where a patrol car blocked their escape, police said.
