Community Invited to Pinole Valley High Homecoming Parade

The parade is scheduled for October 9. We have the parade route.

The annual Pinole Valley High Homecoming Parade returns to downtown Pinole this Friday.

“For the first time in years, the parade returns to downtown Pinole,” Principal Kibby Kleiman told Patch. “We are having a rally on campus just before lunch where students, dressed in their class colors, will be cheering each performer and each activity. Then starting at 2:00 p.m. the parade will roll!”

Kleiman says the parade will go past the senior center and down Pinole Valley Road.

“Pinole PD and the City of Pinole has been super helpful in preparing the route, keeping the streets available and we will salute them by having them in our parade,” Kleiman said. “We will march across Tenant Avenue through to the Collins Elementary school parking lot. We will cross under the highway, go past the shopping center and then do a victory lap around the field.”

Following the parade, Pinole Valley hosts Hercules in both junior varsity and varsity football.

“We’ll have a great band show, the cheer squad out in force, a student announcer for the game, and a student singing the National Anthem,” Kleiman said. “On Saturday, we have our homecoming dance.”
