Poll: City Council Decisions on Pinole TV, Swim Center

Are you supportive of Tuesday's actions to fully fund the pool and the TV station?

The Pinole City Council to fund the Pinole Swim Center for the coming summer season, without specifying where to make corresponding budget cuts elsewhere.

The pool had faced closure in the May-to-August season, despite fundraising efforts from volunteers who organized last September.

City staff had projected a budget shortfall for the center. The city council had made the decision during a budget review lat summer that all recreation programs would have to pay for themselves after the 2011-12 fiscal year until the economy improves.
