Domestic Violence Suspect Arrested After Two-Hour Standoff
Officials said the suspect was wanted in connection with a "serious and violent" assault that occurred around 2 a.m. Saturday morning.

A domestic violence suspect was arrested in Richmond Saturday after he barricaded himself inside his Richmond home for two hours, according to police. The suspect was wanted in connection with an assault that occurred around 2 a.m. Saturday morning, and was described by Richmond Police Chief Chris Magnus as serious and violent.
Officers spotted the suspect outside his home in the 1600 block of Hellings Avenue around 10 a.m. He took shelter inside the residence, but was “talked out” by officers around noon, according to Magnus.
The suspect’s name was not immediately available.
