Driver Killed in Crash Saturday Evening Identified as Richmond Resident
The collision occurred on Saturday on Regatta Boulevard near South 34th Street.

A man who died after crashing his car in Richmond while returning from church services Saturday evening was identified today as 22-year-old Anthony Tuaumu-vaili. Tuaumu-vaili, a Richmond resident, crashed at about 6:20 p.m. Saturday on Regatta Boulevard near South 34th Street, according to Richmond police. He and four other occupants of the vehicle were extricated from the car and rushed to various hospitals.
Tuaumu-vaili died later that night at John Muir Medical Center in Walnut Creek, police said. Police said he was returning that evening after attending church services in South San Francisco with his family. His family wrote on Facebook that he attended South San Francisco Samoan Seventh-day Adventist Church.
