Planning Commission Special Meeting - EIR for Intermodal Transit Center

The Planning Commission meets tonight for a final Environmental Impact Report (EIR) for the Intermodal Transit Center.

In accordance with Section 15090, Title 14, California Code of Regulations (the California Environmental Quality Act Guidelines), the City of Hercules, California, has scheduled a public hearing before the Planning Commission to recommend that the City Council approve the preferred project alternative and certify the Final Environmental Impact Report (FEIR) for the Hercules Intermodal Transit Center (ITC).

Pursuant to the California Environmental Quality Act (CEQA), specifically Section 15089, Title 14, California Code of Regulations, this notice is to advise that the City of Hercules has completed the FEIR for the ITC project as described below. The City, in conjunction with the Federal Transit Administration, is separately preparing for the proposed Project a Final Environmental Impact Statement (FEIS), as required by the National Environmental Protection Act (NEPA).

Project Location: Southeastern shoreline of San Pablo Bay (a part of San Francisco Bay), approximately 1 mile northwest of Interstate 80, within the City of Hercules’s Waterfront District in Contra Costa County.
