Fast Food Chain Sued by In-N-Out, Head Chef is Hercules Native

A Hercules native was instrumental in starting a chain of fast food restaurants that has become a hit in Shanghai.

Hercules native Jonathan Wong is top chef for a fast food chain that has taken off in China. The restaurant also landed in hot water with In-N-Out, the Los Angeles Times reported Friday.

The chain was sued by In-N-Out for what the California-based company claimed was infringement on trademark and counterfeiting, the Times reported.

CaliBurger started with many In-N-Out attributes, including menu items and décor, plus “boobs and babes,” the Times reported.
