Fire in North Richmond Home Under Control

PG&E crews were called to the scene due to downed power lines, according to a fire dispatcher.

Firefighters have controlled a one-alarm fire in North Richmond where power lines went down this evening, a Contra Costa County Fire Protection District dispatcher said.

Fire crews responded to a report of a structure fire shortly before 7 p.m. in the 500 block of Grove Avenue, the dispatcher said. The blaze at a single-family residence was under control around 7:30 p.m., according to the dispatcher. The dispatcher did not receive any reports of injuries.

PG&E crews have been called to the scene due to downed power lines, according to the dispatcher. No further details were immediately available.
