Firefighters Put Out Car Fire On I-80

RODEO, CA — Rodeo-Hercules firefighters put out a car fire Saturday on the right hand shoulder of eastbound I-80. It happened just past the Willow Avenue on ramp, unnervingly close to the scene of July's major grass fire.

There were no injuries.

Crews were able to stop the fire in the engine compartment. It did not spread to the adjacent grass.
