Light Rain for Rest of Day in Pinole, Hercules and East Bay
Occasional heavy showers today are possible, but they won't last long. Send your amazing rain photos to autumn.johnson@patch.com.

Bay Area residents and visitors can expect light rain to continue throughout the day today, but the rain won’t make a difference in the region’s ongoing drought, a National Weather Service forecaster said.
“Not even a dent,” forecaster Steve Anderson said. “Won’t even register.”
Anderson said people may see some afternoon thunderstorms over the mountains and in the East Bay, but the rain will start decreasing after sunset. Occasional heavy showers today are possible, but they won’t last long, Anderson said.
