CONTRA COSTA COUNTY, CA - A registered nurse with nearly 25 years of experience with Contra Costa Health Services was appointed to be the new director of the agency, officials with the agency said. Anna Roth took the reins Tuesday, succeeding Dr. William B. Walker who served in the position for more than two decades. Roth served as CEO of Contra Costa Regional Medical Center and Health Centers for the last nine years. Roth served as CEO of Contra Costa Regional Medical Center and Health Centers for the last nine years. Roth earned a master's degree from the University of California at San Francisco and a Master in Public Health degree from Harvard University.
