Phillips 66 Pays Fine For Problems At East Bay Refinery

RODEO, CA — Phillips 66 has agreed to pay nearly $100,000 to settle air quality violations at its refinery in the unincorporated Contra Costa County community of Rodeo, officials with the Bay Area Air Quality Management District said on Monday.

The air district settled a group of 13 notices for violations that occurred in 2015. The amount of the settlement was $99,400.

The notices addressed brief violations of emissions limits, venting of odorous gases that did not result in a public nuisance, a failed accuracy test of a monitoring system and violations of a leak detection and
repair program or minor administrative violations.

All the violations have been corrected, the district said.
