Pinole Police Come to Aid of Older Homeowner

PINOLE, CA — "To Protect and to Serve." We expect a lot of our police officers. Here in Pinole on Thursday, it's fair to say that officers went "Above and Beyond the Call of Duty."

The officers responded to a call of a suspicious circumstance. Officers checked the home, where the homeowner has lived since the 1960s.

They showed her a side door to the garage that didn't have a lock and advised her to replace it.

She told officers that she was unable to get to the store to buy a lock.

The Pinole officers went and bought a new locking doorknob. Not only that, they installed it for the homeowner.
