Pinole Police Thank Community for Support

PINOLE, CA — In the wake of a second mass shooting of police officers in less than two weeks, the Pinole Police Department took to social media Monday to thank the community for an outpouring of support.

The department wrote, "During these challenging times, we appreciate the support we have received from our community. Whether it is a friendly hello and smile or a cake and flowers we want to thank everyone who has reached out to us over the past weeks with encouraging words and expressions. We serve a great and caring community. Thank you for the support!"

On Sunday, Baton Rouge Police officers were ambushed, leaving three dead.

While in Dallas, 5 police officers were killed in an ambush earlier this month.
