Pinole Students Win Awards at Alameda County Fair

They competed against students from six counties.

School may be out for summer, but local students are still winning accolades.

Pinole Valley High School won two Best in Class awards, and multiple first place ribbons at the annual Alameda County Fair happening through July 5th in Pleasanton.

Students Tiffany Thompson (“The Eye”) and Chassy Phan (“Repititon”) both got top honors for art submitted by their Art teachers, and both will have their art on display for the public for the next few weeks.

Other Pinole Valley students have earned blue ribbons and first place honors, and we salute Joel Quiros (“The Jester”) , Kaylee Herod (“Birds”) and Jyle Ballesteros (“Sunset”).

The Fair includes art from six counties, making the students’ success all the more impressive.
