Police Presentation on Railroad Crossing Safety
Railroad track safety to be discussed at a Thursday meeting.

The Pinole Police Department will host a Thursday meeting that will include a presentation about a program to help avoid deaths and injuries around railroad tracks.
The Amtrak Police Department will make a a presentation about Operation Lifesaver, a non-profit education program. The organization coordinates with police deaprtments in places like Pinole, which has seen a number of pedestrians killed by trains.
Following the presentation, attendees can ask questions or have discussions with police staff.

Thursday's meeting is also an opportunity to meet both neighbors and new Police Chief John Hardester. Interested residents are encouraged to sign in for the meeting at 6:30 p.m. Thursday for the 7 pm. start time. The meeting will be held at the Pinole Senior Center, 2500 Charles Ave.
