Police Raid Suspected Pot Grow House in Hercules, Arrest Two
Officers seized 95 marijuana plants during the search of the home.

Police arrested two people and seized 95 marijuana plants after raiding a suspected marijuana grow house in Hercules on Wednesday, police said on Thursday. Two children, ages six and nine, were also present when officers searched the home, police said.
They were released to Child Protective Services. Officers arrested 25-year-old Huichan Tan and 28-year-old Jie Si Ma on suspicion of cultivating marijuana, possessing marijuana for sale and felony child endangerment, police said. Officers served a search warrant at 7:15 a.m. at the house in the 200 block of Elderberry Court, according to police.
Police said the upstairs rooms, including bathrooms, were equipped and being used for marijuana cultivation. The children were related to one of the suspects, but were not her children, police said.
