In-Progress, Catalytic-Converter Theft Busted In Pinole: Police
Cops interrupted the suspect duo - in a stolen vehicle - as they attempted to swipe the car part from another stolen vehicle, officers said.
PINOLE, CA — Two individuals, allegedly driving a stolen vehicle, were cutting off a catalytic converter from another stolen vehicle when busted mid-theft last week by the Pinole Police Department, according to authorities.
Officers patrolling Thursday near the Pinole Vista Crossing Shopping Center on Fitzgerald Drive spotted two cars behind the shopping center, police said.
A woman was "acting as a lookout while the male suspect was attempting to cut off a catalytic converter from a vehicle they had just stolen," the department said.
