James 'Kimo' Figueroa was struck and run over by a suspect, who stole his pickup truck in San Lorenzo.

ALAMEDA COUNTY, CA – Alameda County deputies arrested an Oakland man over the weekend who allegedly carjacked a truck last week in San Lorenzo, running over the victim and killing him, sheriff's officials said Monday.
Victor Alvarez, 42, was booked into the Alameda County Jail on suspicion of multiple charges, including murder and carjacking, according to jail records.
Alvarez allegedly got inside a pickup truck that was left unattended with the engine running Thursday at about 5:30 a.m. in the 15000 block of Via Del Sol, sheriff's officials said.

When the truck's driver returned to the vehicle, he tried to stop Alvarez. Alvarez, however, threw him to the ground and ran him over with the truck before fleeing.
The victim, later identified as 46-year-old James Figueroa of San Lorenzo, a father of two, was taken to a hospital where he died.
