Screening of Documentary Film 'Toxic Hot Seat' to Benefit East Bay Fire Captain Fighting Cancer

The screening will take place Thursday, November 13th at 6:00 pm at the Grand Lake Theater in Oakland.

The Alameda County and Contra Costa County Training and Safety Officer Associations are hosting a screening of the documentary film, “Toxic Hot Seat”, which exposes the danger fire retardant chemicals pose to the health of firefighters and the general public.

The screening will take place Thursday, November 13th at 6:00 pm at the Grand Lake Theater in Oakland.

There’ll be a panel discussion afterwards with the film’s director/producer James Redford and other subject matter experts. All proceeds benefit the National Brain Tumor Society in honor of Captain Paul Chenkovich (Livermore Pleasanton Fire Department) and the Local 1230 Charity Fund for Captain Rich Voisey (Pinole Fire Department), currently fighting brain cancer.
